Biography: Peggy Lipton was an American actress, model, and singer, best known for her role in The Mod Squad (1968–1973) and her appearance in Twin Peaks (1990–1991, 2017). She began her career as a model before moving on to television, eventually becoming a Golden Globe-winning actress.

Lipton moved to Los Angeles in 1964, delving into an acting career. She made her television debut in The John Forsythe Show (1965) and appeared in other TV series. Her early career was marked by personal challenges, including dealing with the aftermath of sexual abuse and a stutter.

Her breakthrough came with The Mod Squad (1968–1973), earning her a Golden Globe in 1970 and making her a fashion icon. She released an album titled Peggy Lipton (1968) with several charting singles. Lipton also co-wrote "L.A. Is My Lady" for Frank Sinatra (1984).

After briefly dating Paul McCartney, Lipton married Quincy Jones in 1974. She took a 15-year hiatus to raise their daughters, Kidada and Rashida Jones. She and Jones divorced in 1989. Lipton returned to acting with Twin Peaks (1990–1991) and maintained a presence in television until reprising her role in the series' revival (2017).
